A Special Sanctuary for a Special Season
After more than two decades of meeting in a high school auditorium, we are delighted to gather this year at Bethel Church, located on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach. Originally built as a synagogue sanctuary, the space still features its original ark, bima, and stained glass windows—a beautiful and inspiring setting for reflection and renewal.
A High Holiday Soundtrack Like No Other
Music is central to the Temple Beth Shira experience, and our High Holiday services are especially rich with soul-stirring sound:
Kol Nidrei will be accompanied by a live string quintet, enhancing the emotional depth of this sacred moment.
Other services feature a concert pianist and violinist, adding beauty and nuance to our prayer.
Our rabbi-cantor, a gifted spiritual leader and vocalist, leads a service that is at once traditional and deeply personal.
What to Expect
Our High Holiday services follow a Reform liturgy and are designed to be inclusive, meaningful, and easy to follow—whether you’re a regular synagogue-goer or returning after time away.
- Engaging sermons and reflective moments
- A balance of Hebrew and English
- Soulful music led by our rabbi-cantor, pianist, violinist, and guest musicians
You can choose to use our machzor (High Holiday prayerbook) or follow along on our projected PowerPoint presentation. The slides include:
- Page numbers for easy reference
- Hebrew text
- Full transliteration and English translation
- Beautiful imagery that visually expresses the themes and spirit of each prayer
This format allows everyone to feel more present and engaged—whether you’re fluent in Hebrew or just beginning your journey.
