Temple Without Walls

Creating sacred space wherever we gather

At Temple Beth Shira, you get all the meaning and connection of a thriving Reform congregation—without high dues or a building fund. Our focus is on people, spirit, and shared experiences, not bricks and mortar.

Where We Gather

We meet in warm, welcoming spaces across the community:

  • First Friday Shabbat – South County Civic Center, Delray Beach
  • Third Friday Shabbat – Temple Beth Shalom, Boca Raton
  • Fifth Friday – Communal Shabbat meal
  • Passover Seder – South County Civic Center
  • High Holidays – A beautiful former synagogue sanctuary
  • Classes & events often in members’ homes

What We Offer

Everything big shuls do—plus the closeness of a small, friendly community:

  • Men’s Club & Sisterhood
  • Singles group You Had Me at Chai
  • Book club & temple band
  • Social action & caring committees
  • About 100 members—where everyone knows you by name

Our Signature Shabbat

First Fridays begin with dinner at round tables, followed by a richly musical service with our temple band and projected prayers in Hebrew, transliteration, and translation.

Looking Ahead

  • Hillel Partnership – Members “adopt” out-of-town Jewish college students as surrogate grandparents

New family & children’s programs – Welcoming younger generations into our circle

Don’t just listen to us. Here are what people say about us.
